Ohmenhausen was mentioned the in the historical books the first time in 1272. The preliminary name was
Ummenhausen and consisted only of a few houses. In the early days the Ohmenhausen protestant church was part of the parish in Maehringen. Deceased persons even have been buried near the church in Maehringen. Ohmenhausen is located between Reutlingen and Gomaringen and today is part of the city of Reutlingen. There’s a
direct neighborhood to Maehringen, Gomaringen and Betzingen.
Kemmler
The oldest Kemmler in Ohmenhausen is Jakob Kemmler (born around 1590). His wife is unknown. He is the last ancestor in the direct Kemmler line. A second line starts with Georg Kemmler (born around 1610) and his wife Maria.
